This Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy explains how OptimizeMe LLC ("we," "our," or "us") collects,
uses, shares, and deletes consumer health data in ZONAL for WHOOP and ZONAL for Oura (together, "ZONAL").
It supplements our Privacy Policy and applies to the extent required by
state consumer health data laws, such as Washington's My Health My Data Act, Nevada's consumer health
data law, and Connecticut's consumer health data provisions. We follow it for every ZONAL member,
wherever you live.
1. Consumer Health Data We Collect
- From WHOOP (ZONAL for WHOOP): recovery, heart rate variability, resting heart rate, skin temperature, blood oxygen, breathing rate, sleep and naps, daily strain, workouts and heart rate zones, and body measurements (height, weight, and max heart rate)
- From Oura (ZONAL for Oura): readiness, sleep and sleep stages, heart rate, activity, workouts and sessions, temperature deviation, blood oxygen, stress and resilience, VO2 max, cardiovascular age, tags, rest mode periods, and profile details (age, height, weight, and biological sex)
- From Apple Health (ZONAL for Oura, optional): workouts sent by the ZONAL Shortcut, if you set it up
- What you enter in ZONAL: sick periods, session labels, goals, settings, and weight or VO2 max entries
- What ZONAL calculates: scores, forecasts, sleep need and sleep debt, effort, normal ranges, trends, and the morning call, all built from the data above
2. Where It Comes From
- WHOOP or Oura, through their official APIs, after you sign in and approve access on their own page
- Apple Health, only through the ZONAL Shortcut you set up yourself
- You, when you enter information in ZONAL
3. Why We Use It
We use consumer health data only to provide the ZONAL features you ask for: showing your data, calculating
your scores, trends, and forecasts, and keeping your account in sync. We also use it to keep ZONAL secure
and to fix problems. We do not sell consumer health data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models.
4. Your Consent
You consent to collection when you sign in with WHOOP or Oura and approve ZONAL's access on their page. We ask
for separate consent before sharing any consumer health data: in ZONAL for WHOOP, an AI app only receives your
data after you connect it and tap Allow on ZONAL's own approval screen. You can withdraw consent at any time
(see Section 7).
5. Who We Share It With
- Our hosting provider (Railway), which stores ZONAL's encrypted database on our behalf
- AI apps you choose to connect (ZONAL for WHOOP only): Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI (ChatGPT), or Anysphere (Cursor), and only when you ask them about your data. ZONAL for Oura has no AI connections.
- Authorities, only when the law requires it
We have no affiliates that receive consumer health data. Our email provider and other service providers do not
receive your health data. The ZONAL owner can see account activity, such as whether your data is syncing and how
many days of data ZONAL holds, but never the health data itself.
6. How Long We Keep It
We keep consumer health data only while your ZONAL account is active, because your trends and forecasts are
calculated from it. When you use Delete my data (Settings, Data), it is erased from our servers right away and
ZONAL's access to your WHOOP or Oura account is turned off. We do not keep backup copies. If you ask us by email
instead, we finish deleting within 72 hours.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Confirm and access: ask whether we collect, share, or sell your consumer health data, get a copy of it, and get a list of every third party we shared it with
- Withdraw consent: stop future collection or sharing by disconnecting an AI app on the Integrations page, removing ZONAL's access in your WHOOP or Oura account, or deleting your data
- Delete: erase everything yourself in Settings, Data, Delete my data, or ask us to
- Correct: edit what you entered in ZONAL, or ask us to fix anything else. Data that comes from WHOOP or Oura is corrected at its source.
- Appeal: if we turn down a request, reply to our answer with "Appeal" in the subject and we will review it. If we deny your appeal, you can contact your state attorney general, such as the Washington Attorney General.
To make a request, email info@optimizeme.today from the email on your
ZONAL account. We may ask you to confirm it's you. We answer within 45 days and tell you if we need more time,
as the law allows. We never charge for requests or treat you differently for making one.
